Walk This Way

As I’ve been contemplating this ‘left vs right’ viewpoint amidst the political chaos, I’m reminded of Isaiah 30:21, “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Then I think of Proverbs 3:5-6, “ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Then there is Matt 6:33 “ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Then later in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus cautions: ‘Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matt 7:13-14)

What caught my attention about the Isaiah 30:21 verse is that the path is not really far right or far left.

God is cautioning us to watch where we go. Seek Him first and He will provide the guidance we need.

Regarding the current political scene, in reality, they are two wings of the same bird. This may offend some, but the Bible foretold this hundreds of years ago, in Daniel 11. Satan is playing both sides of the political system. ALL the conflict in the world is due to the great controversy between God and satan.

We have the ‘king of the south’ and the ‘king of the north.’ They are both used by the ‘beast’ power to control and force people to conform. (This is a huge topic of study. If you are interested, contact me. I would love to share more on the topic.)

The current regime (king of the south) is from an atheistic/worldly viewpoint.

The soon returning regime (king of the north) will be from a religio/political viewpoint. (We already see the grassroots effort to try to legislate morality, making laws to get people to church.)

God doesn’t want us to be deceived by either side. He wants us to be willing to walk in His path, following His truth, no matter what man may say.

If we spend time in His word and applying His spiritual principles, then we will not be deceived. We will walk in the middle, along the narrow way, the only truth path to freedom and eternal life.

Remember two very important truths.

1. For every one of God’s truths, satan has a counterfeit.

2. God never forces, not even in matters of worship. Force is ALWAYS satanic in nature. Always.

Rather than leaning too far right or left, seek God’s truth in all things. He will direct our paths.

Something to think about.
