God’s Truths VS Man’s Traditions

In my Facebook memories today, I found this post from three years ago.
‘Speaking Bible truth is a great way to thin out the friend list.’
This memory started an avalanche of thought.
Who was it that crucified Jesus?
Church leaders.
Who did Jesus say that would be the ones persecuting those who walk in obedience in the last days?
John 16:2
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
1 Pet 4:12-13
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
I have found more intolerance to Bible truths IN those who claim to be a child of God, than from those who claim not to even believe. Those claiming to be a child of God will, for the most part, become very offended. They refuse to look up and read what the Bible says. They prefer to follow after the traditions of men, rather the doctrines of God.
Col 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
It’s so heartbreaking to see this time and time again.
I’ve been there. I used to believe in Sunday worship (Although I did not work or shop, etc. I kept Sunday as Sabbath.). I used to believe you went to heaven after death. I used to believe in the secret rapture.
In fact, one summer when I was living with some friends of mine, I came home to an empty house. It was NEVER empty. This day it was empty for HOURS. I experienced such a level of terror I never knew before. I was convinced I had missed the secret rapture. I spent hours on my bed, crying, begging God to forgive me, to give me strength to stand up for my beliefs in this ‘second chance.’
The truth is, there is no second chance once probation closes. Now is the day of Salvation. There is no secret ‘catching away’ from the upcoming tribulation period. (We see examples over and over how God is there to give strength THROUGH the trial. He doesn’t remove us FROM the trial.)
The truth is that when you die, you die. (Satan’s lie in the garden was that you shall not die.)NOW, if you have accepted Christ as your savior and allowed Him to transform you, then the first death is but a sleep. The permanent death is the second death which comes after the millennium.
The truth is that it does matter what day you worship. God set aside a specific day -the 7th day Sabbath. This day is the sign that we have chosen Him as our Lord, and that we allow Him to sanctify us. And it is THE Sabbath, not A Sabbath. God is very particular on this point. It is commented on dozens of times in the Bible. No man or human entity has the power to change the law of God. No one.
Rev 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Right now, God is calling His true believers out of spiritual Babylon. He is calling His true believers to walk in obedience to His law (moral and health). He is calling His true believers to come apart from the world, to live lives of primitive godliness, dying to sin and allowing Him to totally transform you to fully reflect HIS character.
Time is growing short. Now is the day of salvation. We are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. The plan of salvation does not end in the outer court with the altar of sacrifice. The plan continues all the way through to the Most Holies, where sin is put away (Day of Atonement).
I pray that each who read this will pray and seek God’s guidance. He will guide into all His truths if you walk in obedience to each light He gives.
However, there is a condition. We must walk in obedience. We are to be doers of the word, not hearers only. If we refuse to walk in the light God has given, then He will leave us to our own delusions. This comes at a great cost.
Matt 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Please, pray and seek God’s truth. Then pray for strength to walk in obedience. Before it is too late.
