Harmony Ranch
Yesterday I met this wonderful lady named Diana Clemons. She runs a therapeutic riding center in northern Idaho. Diana is wonderful. I met her at this month’s NAMI meeting. She gave a presentation about her center.
Diana is a famous violionist who trained at Juliard. She is very talented. Diana said she has three loves: God, music, and horse. At this ranch, she is able to combine the three in helping children with disabilities.
Diana has become so well known in northern Idaho that she not only helps the disabled, she also helps at-risk youth also. She will have parents call whose kids get caught shoplifting. The kids come to her ranch to do community service. After a while, Diana goes out to talk to them. She ends up changing lives for the better.
This ranch has changed lives of the children who go there from little kids who could not move or talk to where they become able to sit straight on a horse and wave and laugh. Kids start talking and giggling. Diana is a miracle worker. You can tell she loves the Lord in everything she does.
This ranch cost a lot of money to run. If you would like to help, please go to www.harmony-ranch.org to make a donation or for more information. This is definitely a God-given gift that Diana has.
Diana teaches music lessons to pay for the cost of the ranch. She charges only $80/month for the lessons to the children. No one is turned away. She does fund raisers when she can. She applies for grants whenever she gets a free moment.
Diana is not one for marketing or paperwork. I talked to her yesterday. She is going to begin to work with my son in the spring. I will be working with her on her marketing and administrative duties. My friend volunteered to help with the horses.
Whatever help you can give, give with your heart. Do it today. Do it for the kids.
